The Silver School collaborates with Sarah Lawrence College to provide a combined degree program in Social Work and Child Development. This initiative enables students to earn both an MSW and a master's in Child Development simultaneously. Applicants must gain acceptance into both programs. Through strategic course selection that counts toward credit in both schools, participants can finish both degrees full-time within three years. Child Development courses are exclusively offered at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. The program commences at Sarah Lawrence, where students complete a year of developmental theory coursework and an observational fieldwork placement. Social work classes start after this initial year and are available at any campus location.
