NYU Langone's Division of Environmental Medicine offers an MS in Environmental Health Sciences, a focused program equipping students with essential skills for careers in this field. The program accommodates both full-time and part-time enrollment.
Growing regulations in occupational safety and environmental protection have created more career prospects for professionals trained in environmental health sciences. Our MS program delivers graduate-level education applicable to roles in workplace safety, hazard communication, risk assessment, toxicant analysis, and related administrative or technical sales positions.
Graduates are prepared for careers across academia, private industry, consulting, trade organizations, and government agencies at all levels. The program also enables secondary educators to incorporate environmental science into their teaching curriculum.
Students learn to apply contemporary scientific approaches to address environmental challenges. The curriculum covers core topics like pollution, toxicology, and biostatistics, along with practical training in data presentation and scientific report interpretation.
