The Master of Science in Biology offers comprehensive training in modern biological principles, featuring advanced studies in cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, physiology, neurobiology, immunology, genetics, genomics, and systems biology. This flexible program accommodates both part-time and full-time students, allowing them to customize their coursework and research projects. Participants can collaborate with various NYU departments and institutions such as the Chemistry and Physics departments, NYU Langone Medical School, the College of Dentistry, the Center for Neural Science, the Courant Institute for Mathematical Science, and the New York Genome Center. While most students finish in 1.5 to 2 years, ambitious learners can complete the program in just one year by taking extra courses each semester.
The Applied Recombinant DNA Technology specialization provides in-depth molecular biology education, covering both theoretical strategy development for recombinant DNA applications and practical laboratory skill development.
