The Department of Public Health Policy and Management provides two focus areas: (1) Public Health Policy and (2) Public Health Management. This department strives to cultivate future leaders capable of shaping policies and overseeing organizations to enhance community health outcomes. Students gain the skills to create, execute, and assess health policies and administrative approaches across healthcare and public health sectors. These specializations align well with careers in government institutions, nonprofit organizations, or private healthcare entities focused on improving population health.
Similar to all MPH candidates, you'll complete foundational public health coursework covering biostatistics, epidemiology, social and behavioral health factors, environmental health, and public health biology fundamentals. Subsequently, you'll choose to specialize in either Public Health Management or Public Health Policy.
