The Fashion & Luxury MBA equips aspiring professionals with essential business skills for careers in the fashion and luxury industries. This specialized program combines targeted core classes with electives and hands-on learning experiences. Designed for efficiency, students can earn their full-time MBA degree in just 12 months. The curriculum offers 52 credits of focused study in fashion, luxury, or both disciplines, integrating practical projects alongside academic coursework. Each semester features mandatory Stern Solutions projects, where students tackle authentic business challenges at the crossroads of fashion and luxury. These credit-bearing collaborations involve NYU Stern's Fashion & Luxury Council members and other leading industry players.

During a January intensive, participants explore European markets in a major fashion capital. The experience begins with New York-based instruction from faculty experts and industry leaders, complemented by behind-the-scenes visits to design studios, manufacturing facilities, and fashion corporations.

Qualification Requirements

Students entering a Stern MBA program are required to hold a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent degree from a foreign country (in some cases, this is a three-year degree).
If you submit your application prior to the conferral of your bachelor's degree or equivalent, we will accept and evaluate your application. If an offer of admission is made, it will be contingent upon graduating from your undergraduate program prior to the first day of class.
You must include transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you have attended showing a list of all courses taken, credits earned, grades received and the name of the degree earned (if any). There are two options for submitting an unofficial transcript via the online application:
1. Upload a scanned copy (recommended, if possible).
2. Complete and upload the Self-Reported Transcript Form.
Stern has no minimum standardized test score requirements. In addition to the GMAT and GRE, NYU Stern also accepts the Executive Assessment Test (EA), MCAT, LSAT, and DAT. Read more below. We consider only your highest overall scores. Therefore, feel free to re-take a test if you believe you can improve your performance. A valid standardized test score is required for all MBA applicants to the Full-time and Luxury and Retail MBAs.
