The Dual-Degree program in Science and Engineering, offered in partnership with NYU Tandon School of Engineering (previously called Polytechnic School of Engineering), enables academically strong, driven students with technical interests to combine a liberal arts science major with a conventional engineering curriculum. This program perfectly suits those passionate about both science and engineering while desiring a liberal arts foundation before diving into engineering studies. After five years, participants earn two Bachelor of Science degrees—one from the College of Arts and Science and another from NYU Tandon. Graduates with this dual qualification often secure outstanding career prospects.
Participants fulfill all College Core Curriculum obligations except the foreign language requirement, which is waived. (Their mandatory math and science classes inherently meet the Core's Scientific Inquiry Foundations.) The program offers scheduling flexibility for certain courses, and students with AP credits may reduce their semester workload or explore additional electives.
