The Gallatin School of Individualized Study collaborates with the School of Global Public Health (GPH) to provide a combined degree pathway, allowing students to obtain both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with an Individualized Major from Gallatin and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Global Public Health program more efficiently than pursuing each degree independently. This accelerated option applies to students entering these MPH specializations: Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Global Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences, or Public Health Nutrition. The natural alignment between Gallatin's and GPH's emphasis on cross-disciplinary education makes this collaboration particularly valuable for participants in both programs.
This dual degree program pushes students to refine and concentrate their educational pathways while preparing them for impactful careers in public service. Tailored for high-achieving scholars dedicated to civic leadership, the BA-MPH combination also provides excellent preparation for entering the public health sector by translating academic aspirations into real-world public engagement opportunities.
