Develop the technical and analytical expertise required to excel as a computer science specialist in high demand for big data roles. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Big Data Management & Analytics concentration, a collaborative initiative between IBM and New York Tech, equips you to work with one of today's most valuable resources—big data. Your coursework will cover diverse subjects including data acquisition, structuring, information retrieval, and data analysis techniques. Hands-on lab sessions will utilize IBM InfoSphere BigInsights and IBM InfoSphere Streams.
You can engage in our cooperative education program or contribute to funded research initiatives for organizations like the Department of Defense and National Science Foundation, working alongside faculty at New York Tech's Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC). Through the Undergraduate Research & Entrepreneurial Program (UREP), many students achieve publication in respected academic journals. For enhanced career readiness, our Accelerated M.S. Options program enables you to obtain both a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Data Science within a five-year timeframe.

Qualification Requirements
To be considered for admission to New York Institute of Technology, you must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with at least a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
Copies of transcripts of all high school work, including college-level courses.
Mid-year and final grades will be required.
Proof of high school graduation.

Two letters of recommendation.
