In NYFA's 2-Year Filmmaking Certificate program, students dive deep into the craft of visual storytelling. Like our one-year option, this intensive course offers comprehensive guidance and instruction, with plentiful practical opportunities in filmmaking, media creation, and video production.
Participants take on multiple roles as directors, writers, cinematographers, producers, and editors for their own projects while collaborating on peers' films, broadening both artistic and technical skills. The curriculum also covers diverse content creation areas such as digital series, audio programs, musical visuals, VR content, advertisements, and nonfiction films, exposing students to various narrative approaches. Our hands-on methodology helps students discover their distinctive artistic perspective while building professional competencies for careers in film and media. The program concludes with a capstone film project demonstrating students' mastery of advanced cinematic techniques.
