The Development and Global Justice specialization prepares students for professional paths or advanced academic study addressing worldwide poverty, disparities, and socioeconomic progress. This interdisciplinary program encourages rigorous examination of the root causes behind uneven prosperity across populations and nations. Students gain theoretical frameworks and practical methodologies to tackle the multifaceted issues of global inequality and sustainable development.
The coursework emphasizes development as a transformative process centered on enhancing quality of life and advancing equitable societies. This concentration features distinguished faculty expertise in human rights studies and the capabilities framework for development analysis.
Students enjoy adaptable study options with diverse electives available through International Affairs graduate programs, as well as Milano School of Policy and The New School for Social Research. Applicants must upload an unofficial transcript, mark sheet, or academic record for each institution (even if you didnt receive a degree) in the Academic History section of the online application.
All uploaded transcripts must be accompanied by a key, a legend, or the back copy of the transcript. Non-English transcripts must be accompanied by an English translation. Records from non-U.S. institutions must have grades or marks and contain a copy of diploma if the degree has been conferred. Make sure your name appears on the transcript/record. Scanned documents must be clear and legible.
