The Master's in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship helps you refine your performance skills while acquiring knowledge and competencies that equip you for varied career paths in arts leadership, administration, creative entrepreneurship, arts education, cultural policy, advocacy, and philanthropic initiatives.
The Arts Management and Entrepreneurship MA program's curriculum is specifically designed to support working performing artists in advancing their careers. You're not only permitted but expected to continue your artistic practice while cultivating business acumen. To support this, you can enroll in classes, present creative proposals, and potentially collaborate with peers and instructors from Mannes, Jazz, and Drama programs within our College of Performing Arts. External artistic endeavors, such as performing with musical groups, may also count toward academic credit.

Qualification Requirements

Graduate degree applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university. Applicants in the process of completing the bachelor's degree may apply for admission. Admission to the program requires completion of the bachelor's degree.

Submit Your Portfolio
Arts Management and Entrepreneurship MA
A portfolio must be submitted with your application. Your portfolio will be evaluated in three areas:
Artistic skills
Entrepreneurialism, leadership, or management skills
Socially engaged practice or social justice values/goals
Submit Two Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation from professional and/or academic references are required. Recommendations must be submitted by recommenders directly via the online application portal. Instructions are included in the online application.
Submit College Transcripts
Applicants must upload an unofficial transcript, mark sheet, or academic record for each institution (even if you didnt receive a degree) in the Academic History section of the online application.
All applicants whose first language is not English must submit valid TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or DET scores. Minimum required scores are:
