Parsons' NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture (MArch) program examines the built environment while championing architectural solutions to interconnected crises like climate change, ecological decline, and societal inequities. The curriculum emphasizes dynamic exchanges between conceptualization and realization, traditional craftsmanship and digital innovation, and neighborhood-level interventions with worldwide implications. Based in New York City, students partner with local groups and institutions, becoming catalysts for transformation through hands-on projects. The program positions you at the cutting edge of material innovation, merging practical solutions with visionary thinking to shape an equitable and environmentally restorative future.
This MArch program tackles pressing professional challenges, from emerging visualization methods to eco-conscious construction and landscape strategies. Leveraging Parsons' extensive connections with city agencies, practicing architects, and corporate collaborators, the coursework opens doors to internships, design contests, and sponsored research. New York serves as an unparalleled urban laboratory for acquiring real-world construction experience while investigating architecture's aesthetic qualities and societal impacts.
