Admission to graduate licensure program courses involving Special Education field experiences is restricted to those accepted into the Special Education graduate program. For other graduate-level Special Education courses, non-program students may enroll if prerequisites are met and space remains after Special Education graduate students have registered. To fulfill degree requirements, students must satisfy both academic and field competency standards - maintaining a B grade or better in all program courses, receiving positive field experience evaluations (for licensure candidates), and passing the MA Comprehensive Exam. The Special Education Master of Arts offers five distinct tracks to accommodate diverse student needs and can be finished within two years for full-time enrollment.
