The Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness provides two Bachelor of Science in Agriculture programs. Students can pursue either a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a focus on Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness (AEAB) or a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture specializing in Natural Resource Economics and Policy (NREP). The NREP undergraduate program equips students with expertise in both socio-economic and bio-physical dimensions of environmental and natural resource governance. As global demand for finite resources like land and water intensifies, alongside rising environmental concerns, there's an increasing demand for specialists capable of navigating economic and ecological considerations. The NREP curriculum develops students' abilities to implement economic frameworks to address diverse challenges in sectors including land utilization, energy, wildlife conservation, climate regulation, and water resource management. This program readies graduates for careers in both governmental and corporate settings involving resource evaluation, stewardship, or policy development.
