The Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) curriculum equips students for professions in the rapidly expanding field of unmanned aircraft systems, covering piloting, mission planning, risk assessment, sensor operations, data gathering and interpretation, and other associated competencies. While the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 remote pilot certification is not mandatory for graduation, it is advantageous for career progression. Students can pursue the FAA remote pilot certification concurrently with their A.S. degree through coursework, simulations, and flight instruction.
