The Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education for Transfer program equips students to evaluate child development theories, age-appropriate teaching methods, and instructional techniques that enhance children's learning and growth. Participants examine key developmental areas and apply this understanding to create, execute, and assess educational programs and settings that foster holistic developmental progress in young learners. The curriculum emphasizes child observation, record-keeping, and evaluation as fundamental tools for crafting impactful educational plans and support strategies. Students also review California's Title 22 requirements, standards, and policies governing early childhood education programs. Professional ethics, best practices, and advocacy efforts are analyzed to prepare future educators for the expectations of the early childhood field.
