The Associate in Arts in Theater Arts for Transfer program builds self-assurance, enhances communication abilities, and offers collaborative work experiences. Throughout each course, students refine essential theater skills while developing teamwork capabilities across various theater disciplines. This program fosters independence, innovative thinking, and individual artistic growth. To obtain this degree, students must complete 60 transferable semester units to the CSU system, including either IGETC or CSU GE breadth requirements plus an 18-unit major. While allowing specialization in specific interests, the AA-T in Theater Arts prepares graduates for concentrations in acting, technical theater, design, playwriting, or general theater studies. Designed for seamless transfer to bachelor's programs, this degree requires a minimum 2.0 GPA in major courses, with all classes completed with a C grade or higher. Transfer degree recipients are exempt from additional local graduation requirements.
