The Associate of Arts in Studio Arts for Transfer prepares students to seamlessly transition into bachelor's degree programs in art. This program offers comprehensive foundational knowledge across various artistic disciplines, introducing core concepts and techniques. Participants will develop the ability to articulate personal ideas and experiences through visual media with technical proficiency. The curriculum builds essential visual literacy and creative skills applicable to diverse art forms, animation, and design fields.
To obtain an Associate in Arts in Studio Arts for Transfer (AA-T), candidates must complete 60 transferable semester units acceptable to the CSU system, including either IGETC or CSU GE breadth requirements plus an 18-unit major. A minimum 2.0 GPA in all transferable courses is required, with all major courses completed at a C grade or higher. Those earning this transfer degree are exempt from additional local graduation requirements.
