The Exercise Science and Sport Studies graduate program enables students to engage in advanced studies within the broader discipline of exercise science and physical education while deepening expertise in a specialized area. The Sports Administration and Coaching concentration aims to build essential skills for athletic coaching in K-12 or collegiate environments, athletic program leadership at secondary or post-secondary institutions, and sports management roles in community or professional organizations. This curriculum combines instruction in coaching methodologies with athletic administration, covering subjects like sports management, legal aspects of sports, athletic marketing, performance conditioning, coaching strategies, and the psychology of sports. Through appropriate elective choices and required teaching experience, participants may qualify for the Supervisory Certificate.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate School requires the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree in order to be eligible to apply for a graduate program.
Transcript: One from each college attended.
Letters of Recommendation: Two.
A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
