The Dual Degree program in Spanish is an intensive five-year pathway allowing students to earn both bachelor's and master's degrees concurrently. The Spanish B.A. curriculum provides diverse course options exploring cultural studies, translation, audio description, literary works, cinema, theater, language structure, writing skills, business applications, U.S. Spanish usage, and Latin American/Latino research.
This program requires two core classes plus eight electives, giving students the freedom to tailor their studies to personal objectives. It serves exceptionally well as part of a dual major, pairing Spanish's bilingual/bicultural advantages with another professional discipline.
The Spanish major blends fundamental studies in literature, culture, and language science with specialized electives spanning business, translation, and film studies.
