The Plant Pathology graduate program at Montana State University enables students to explore critical issues in plant pathology using MSU's advanced agricultural research facilities. Potential research areas encompass soil-based diseases affecting cereal crops, genetic foundations of disease resistance in field crops, leaf spot diseases in cereals, viral infections specific to cereals and potatoes, bacterial plant diseases, along with biochemical and molecular genetic studies of plant diseases.
