The Department of Physics offers a Master of Science Degree through two pathways: the thesis track (Plan A) or the coursework track (Plan B). The thesis track combines academic coursework with a thesis defense, while the coursework track focuses solely on academic requirements. The coursework Master's serves as an intermediate degree for students pursuing a Ph.D. Further details about the Master's program are available here. Beyond the standard MS in Physics, the department collaborates with Electrical Engineering and Chemistry to provide a specialized Master's in Optics.
