The Department of Microbiology and Immunology provides Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programs in Microbiology and Immunology. Cross-disciplinary studies with connections to other departments are actively supported. Those focused on environmental sciences can meet microbiology degree requirements while engaging in diverse studies across biology, chemistry, entomology, plant and soil sciences, and plant pathology, collaborating with the Center for Biofilm Engineering. For students pursuing biomedical sciences, microbiology and immunology degree requirements can be fulfilled while studying medical-related fields such as biology, chemistry, and veterinary science, with opportunities to work alongside the WWAMI Medical Education Program.
A bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited, government-recognized university. These degrees are generally four-year-long programs.
B average or higher from your undergraduate study (3.0/4.0 GPA, or equivalent).
