The College Teaching Certificate program within Adult and Higher Education helps graduate students, future professors, and current educators improve their teaching abilities. This certification aims to boost participants' competitiveness for academic positions at higher education institutions. To complete the program, students must finish 12 credit hours of classes. Enrollment is available during both Fall and Spring semesters.
The minimum requirement for admission to the certificate program is a master’s degree or current enrollment in a master’s or doctoral degree program as well as knowledge of a self-identified discipline or area of specialization. In the personal statement candidates should describe their qualifications to teach the content of their discipline or area of specialization at the college level and their teaching goals.
