Gallatin College MSU's IT Computer Network Technology program offers students the chance to earn either a one-year Certificate of Applied Science or a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree, equipping them for careers in the expanding Information Technology sector. The curriculum covers designing, implementing, and managing interconnected computer systems and peripherals, along with techniques to enhance network performance and efficiency. Participants gain hands-on experience with computer hardware, software applications, LAN and WAN networks, information security fundamentals, storage and bandwidth monitoring, data protection methods, resource management, and system deployment protocols. This program ultimately prepares graduates to take industry-recognized certification exams including CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, and Microsoft Technology Associate.
