The Ranching Systems degree offered by Montana State's Dan Scott Ranch Management program equips students with the multifaceted expertise required to modernize and sustain one of Montana's vital industries. This program takes a holistic approach, combining classroom instruction with practical experience in livestock operations, environmental stewardship, agricultural economics, and essential professional competencies like effective communication, continuous education, and analytical reasoning within a learner-focused framework.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
