The Department of Health and Human Development provides an academic program focused on food and nutrition studies. Those selecting the nutrition science track typically aim for healthcare or research-oriented fields like medicine, dentistry, corporate research, or academia. The dietetics pathway prepares students for careers as registered dietitians, requiring completion of a graduate-level dietetic internship to qualify for the registration examination. Entry into Montana State University's integrated master's and internship program is selective. Details regarding degree prerequisites are available through the Health and Human Development advising center in the Marga Hosaeus Fitness Center.
