Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Photography with an Integrated Lens-Based Media Focus
Montana State's Integrated Lens-Based Media program offers students a rigorous, cross-disciplinary education in both film and photographic arts. This unique program blends elements from Film and Photography curricula, enabling students to incorporate cinematic and photographic techniques into their artistic work. With guidance from dual advisors – a film specialist and a photography expert – participants craft personalized study plans that lead to a final interdisciplinary thesis project, equipping them for professional artistic careers or advanced academic pursuits.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
