The Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture provides graduate programs culminating in a Master of Science degree in Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture. To earn the MS degree, students must complete 24 credit hours of coursework, which includes a statistics graduate course, along with submitting a thesis and passing an oral comprehensive exam. Additionally, the department offers a PhD in Forest Resources with specializations in wildlife, fisheries, and aquaculture. Doctoral candidates must pass a written diagnostic exam, complete a graduate statistics course, fulfill coursework requirements (as set by their advisory committee), pass both oral and written preliminary exams, produce a dissertation, and successfully defend it orally.
