The Agricultural and Extension Education Program within the School of Human Sciences provides graduate-level coursework culminating in these degree options: Master of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education (with Leadership or Teaching specializations) and Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences (focusing on Agricultural and Extension Education).
For the M.S. degree, students must fulfill 30 credit hours in a structured curriculum. At least 50% of these credits must be at the 8000-level. Thesis candidates must complete 6 research/thesis credit hours (replacing regular coursework) plus an approved statistics course. Non-thesis students undergo a final comprehensive exam (written or oral), while thesis candidates must successfully defend their thesis and submit the final document.
