Plants play a vital role in sustaining all aspects of our daily lives. They provide nourishment, clean air, medicinal benefits, shelter, and materials for clothing. While essential for everyone, plants occasionally require care themselves. Plant pathologists examine plant illnesses and abnormalities caused by fungi, viruses, and bacteria. This specialization suits those with both gardening skills and a curious, analytical mindset.
Our department provides numerous focus areas and degree options, ranging from forensic sciences to pre-professional tracks like medical, dental, veterinary, business, and pharmaceutical studies, as well as bioinformatics. The foundational coursework emphasizes life sciences, delivering a thorough educational foundation that prepares students for diverse career paths in healthcare, biotech, agricultural sciences, and scientific investigation.
