The Associate in Science in Nutrition and Dietetics Transfer (AS-T) program is designed to fulfill lower-division coursework for students pursuing nutrition/dietetics majors or related fields at participating California State University (CSU) institutions. This pathway equips students with foundational knowledge for careers in nutrition, public health, and clinical environments. After transferring to a CSU campus, students typically need no more than 60 additional units to complete their bachelor's degree, though some institutions may require extra lower-division coursework. Note that this degree might not suit students transferring to non-participating CSU campuses or institutions outside the CSU system. Prospective students should meet with a MiraCosta counselor to explore optimal transfer pathways and verify participating CSU locations. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to connect core nutrition principles to higher-level academic work.
