Associate's Degree
This associate degree fulfills lower-division major preparation for mathematics programs, related emphases, or similar degrees at participating California State University (CSU) campuses. After transferring, students will need no more than 60 additional units to earn a bachelor's degree, though some CSUs may require extra lower-division coursework. Note that this degree may not suit students transferring to non-participating CSUs or institutions outside the CSU system. MiraCosta counselors can provide guidance on optimal transfer pathways for math majors and confirm which CSU campuses accept this degree. Graduates will gain skills in problem analysis, expression evaluation, and result interpretation and application.
