The Design program provides instruction in architecture, drafting, and engineering for students planning to transfer to a four-year university or pursue careers in architecture, computer-aided design, mechanical design, and engineering. The curriculum also includes courses for individuals not seeking a design career but who want to explore or understand graphic communication. Students can earn one of the specified associate degrees by completing a certificate of achievement along with MiraCosta College's general education requirements for an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree (refer to Associate Degrees).
Students must be Eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit from instruction
A high school graduate or equivalent
IELTS score of 5.5
TOEFL score of 450 on the paper-based; test/133 on the computer-based test/ 46 on the iBT
DuoLingo English Test score of 75
