The Earth Science program centers on Earth Systems Science, a STEM discipline that takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding our planet's interconnected natural systems—the atmosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, pedosphere, and our cosmic context. To investigate the chemical, physical, and biological processes occurring at and near Earth's surface, the curriculum incorporates courses in Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, and Physics. Students graduate well-equipped for careers or advanced studies, thanks to the program's comprehensive interdisciplinary scope, practical training in field, lab, and classroom settings, and emphasis on current issues affecting society and the environment.
