The Plant Science specialization focuses on examining cellular structures, genetic mechanisms, anatomical features, physiological processes, classification systems, and ecological relationships of land-based and aquatic vascular plants, bryophytes, algae, and fungi. This concentration highlights plant morphology and biological processes, biodiversity, evolutionary and structural adaptations, as well as plant-environment interactions. A plant sciences track equips undergraduates for professional paths in teaching, biotech industries, ecological research, pharmaceutical firms, and public sector organizations. Furthermore, this specialization provides foundational knowledge for pursuing advanced graduate studies in Plant Science at both Master's and PhD levels.
