Midwestern State University pioneered the nation's first discipline-specific Master's in Radiologic Sciences (MSRS) program in 1995. This innovative program aims to develop future leaders in radiologic sciences across administration, education, and advanced clinical practice. Utilizing a hybrid distance-learning model, the curriculum provides working professionals nationwide the flexibility to earn their degree with limited campus visits while maintaining valuable in-person interactions. Qualified students may access competitive scholarships and tuition waivers for Academic Common Market participants.
As the inaugural institution to offer this specialized graduate degree, MSU continues to lead in imaging education with three focused tracks: Administration, Education, and Radiologist Assistant (RA). The hybrid program structure enables completion within two years, requiring only six campus visits for Administration/Education students and ten for RA candidates, who must also fulfill significant clinical hours.
MSU's MSRS program attracts imaging professionals globally, fostering a diverse learning environment enriched by faculty with extensive field experience. Committed to excellence, the program serves as a premier graduate education provider in radiologic sciences, advancing professional development through education, research, leadership training, and clinical practice opportunities at local, national, and international levels.
