Midwestern State University pioneered the first specialized master's program in Radiologic Sciences in the U.S., launching in 1995. This program aims to develop future leaders in radiologic sciences administration, education, and advanced clinical practice. Utilizing a comprehensive graduate education model, the MSRS program combines distance learning with limited campus visits, enabling working professionals nationwide to participate while maintaining valuable in-person interactions. Eligible students may qualify for competitive scholarships and Academic Common Market participants could receive out-of-state tuition waivers.

As the nation's first institution to provide a focused graduate degree in this field, MSU continues to lead in imaging and radiologic sciences education with three specialization tracks: Administration, Education, and Radiologist Assistant (RA).

This hybrid program enables professionals to earn their degree in two years with minimal campus attendance. While most coursework occurs online, Administration and Education students complete six on-campus sessions, while RA students attend ten sessions plus extensive clinical training. The program attracts imaging professionals globally, fostering a diverse learning environment enriched by peers' varied experiences. MSRS faculty bring decades of collective field expertise and maintain active professional involvement.
