The Master of Science in Construction Management program offers comprehensive training across managerial, technological, economic, and environmental dimensions of construction. This curriculum employs a systems-based methodology, covering essential areas like project management, cost estimation, scheduling, project oversight, land procurement, architectural and engineering design, construction techniques, real estate, finance, business administration, and marketing.
This graduate program offers two tracks: Plan A (thesis option) and Plan B (non-thesis option). Plan A is recommended for those pursuing academic, consulting, or research careers, or considering doctoral studies. Once a student's Plan A curriculum is approved by their advisor, switching to Plan B requires school authorization.
Construction management graduate students frequently complement their core studies with coursework in business administration, labor relations, civil engineering, environmental design, resource management, urban planning, statistics, or education. The program also allows for independent study under faculty guidance to explore topics beyond standard course offerings.
