The Department of Horticulture provides graduate programs for both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Horticulture. Students also have opportunities to collaborate with Horticulture faculty to pursue M.S. or Ph.D. degrees through various interdisciplinary programs such as Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology-Horticulture, Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Molecular Plant Physiology, and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. MSU-Horticulture's faculty and students conduct esteemed research, teaching, and outreach initiatives that gain national and international recognition from academic peers and horticultural sectors. Our program embraces a diverse community of faculty and graduate students with varied cultural backgrounds and global perspectives.
