Each woodwind instrument at MSU has a dedicated full-time faculty member focused on performance excellence. Our instructors are accomplished soloists who maintain active performing careers with renowned orchestras across Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Toronto, and beyond. Every studio features its own class, serving as both a performance platform and discussion space covering topics from musical styles to reed craftsmanship.
Students enjoy varied performance opportunities, including chamber music, solo recitals, and participation in the college's symphony orchestras, concert orchestras, and multiple wind ensembles.
