Studio art students investigate and produce works through the vocabulary of two- and three-dimensional forms, spatial relationships, and temporal elements across diverse mediums and technologies, such as ceramics, digital arts, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Undergraduates can pursue two studio art degree paths. The bachelor of arts in studio art offers a broad liberal arts foundation, while the bachelor of fine arts is a specialized professional track for those aiming for art careers, design fields, or advanced graduate studies.
The Printmaking Program offers instruction in multiple print techniques and methodologies, encompassing intaglio, lithography, relief printing, and collagraphy. Learners develop competency in each medium's technical processes. Through instructor-led demonstrations, students deepen their comprehension of printmaking's distinct characteristics, building self-assurance in their creative practice. With intimate class sizes, the program cultivates a collaborative yet individualized learning environment. Regular critiques and one-on-one evaluations promote dialogue, idea-sharing, and perspective exchanges. The curriculum aims to help students cultivate unique artistic visions while mastering technical skills.
