Studio art students investigate and produce works through the vocabulary of two- and three-dimensional forms, spatial concepts, and temporal elements across diverse mediums and technologies. These include ceramics, digital arts and intermedia, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Undergraduates can pursue two distinct studio art degree paths. The bachelor of arts in studio art offers a broad liberal arts foundation, while the bachelor of fine arts provides professional preparation for those pursuing art careers, design fields, or advanced graduate studies.
Electronic Art & Intermedia (EAI) represents an innovative, evolving discipline within the Department of Art, Art History, and Design that examines novel artistic expressions enabled by technological advancements. Rooted in Intermedia's philosophical tradition, EAI offers a structure for deconstructing and merging diverse intellectual frameworks while bridging seemingly unrelated fields, fostering groundbreaking research and creative practices. This program actively promotes interdisciplinary partnerships among students and faculty, both within and beyond artistic domains.
