MSU's Journalism School stands among the rare institutions providing comprehensive training in both radio and television news production. Our distinguished faculty - with nearly 50 Emmy awards collectively - offers unparalleled instruction. The program's conference room showcases numerous student accolades. Through Focal Point TV news, produced entirely by students, you'll gain practical skills while collaborating with industry experts. Much of our students' and faculty's work airs on WKAR, mid-Michigan's premier public media outlet housed in our facility, which frequently employs student interns.
For those passionate about broadcast journalism and documentary production, our program provides exceptional access to industry leaders and opportunities to create nationally recognized content.
