The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art program enables students to delve into various artistic disciplines such as ceramics, metalwork, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture, fostering a blended approach that integrates their creative passions with a liberal arts foundation. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art offers six specialized tracks: ceramics, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. BA students develop proficiency in visual arts, honing critical thinking, technical mastery, and conceptual depth to express ideas through artistic mediums. BFA candidates focus intensely on one or more studio disciplines, mastering traditional craftsmanship while embracing modern techniques, ultimately building a professional portfolio for career advancement or further education. (Note: Students may not earn both the BA and BFA in Studio Art.)
Alumni from our studio art program pursue diverse career paths. Many establish themselves as working artists—including roles as art directors, digital designers, illustrators, photographers, and sculptors—while others continue their education to become professors, art therapists, curators, or critics.
Our curriculum at every level prioritizes artistic creation within the context of contemporary and historical sculpture. As students refine their technical abilities, they cultivate professional-level work, progressing toward distinctive personal expression and portfolio development. The program equips graduates with the confidence, vision, and expertise to thrive in artistic professions. Our alumni have pursued graduate studies in studio art, entered teaching professions, become studio technicians, or secured roles in galleries and museums.
