The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art program enables students to investigate various artistic disciplines such as ceramics, jewelry design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. This flexible approach lets students blend their creative passions with elements of their liberal arts background to develop a modern artistic practice. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art offers six specialized tracks: ceramics, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. BA students develop proficiency in visual arts, acquiring critical thinking abilities, technical mastery, and conceptual depth to express intellectual and human experiences through artistic mediums. BFA candidates focus intensively on one or more studio disciplines, mastering both traditional craftsmanship and emerging techniques while building a professional portfolio for career advancement or graduate studies. (Note: Students may not pursue both the BA and BFA in Studio Art simultaneously.)
Studio art alumni pursue diverse career paths. Many establish themselves as professional artists, working as art directors, digital designers, illustrators, photographers, or craftspeople in various media. Others continue their education to become educators, art therapists, museum professionals, or arts writers.
