The Critical Race and Ethnic Studies program examines race, ethnicity, and indigeneity within global contexts. Through exploring racial theories, students develop perspectives on key challenges including colonial legacies, global migration, economic systems, creative expression, governance, grassroots movements, and resistance against oppression. The curriculum enables comparative analysis of diverse racial, ethnic, and indigenous communities across regions through interdisciplinary approaches. Alongside foundational courses, students can specialize in social group dynamics, comparative racial systems, or create personalized concentrations.
This major equips graduates for advanced study in Race and Ethnic Studies while providing career pathways in legal professions, healthcare services, community development, teaching, corporate sectors, international relations, government, creative industries, and social justice initiatives.
