The interdisciplinary Master of Science in Transportation (MST) program highlights the intricate nature of transportation systems and their reliance on the interplay between technology, operations, planning, management, and policy development. Consequently, the MST program spans multiple academic departments. Professors and researchers from various MIT centers, departments, and divisions participate in the program, acting as advisors and mentors for MST students.
To be admitted as a regular graduate student, an applicant must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor’s degree is awarded before they enroll at MIT.
The minimum score required for the IELTS is 7.5 and the minimum score for TOEFL is 100 (iBT) 600 (PBT).
