The Master of Business Analytics is an advanced specialized degree program that equips students for roles in business analytics and data science.
This curriculum is ideal for final-year undergraduates or recent graduates aiming to enter the data science field, as well as professionals looking to advance or transition their careers, particularly those in engineering, mathematics, physics, programming, and other technical fields.
This intensive 12-month program spans three terms: fall, spring, and summer. Starting in spring through summer, students undertake a required 7-month capstone analytics project. In this hands-on experience, small student teams collaborate with domestic or global organizations to solve actual data challenges, including an immersive summer internship at the company.
To be admitted as a regular graduate student, an applicant must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor’s degree is awarded before they enroll at MIT.
A minimum TOEFL Internet-based score of 90 (577 paper-based) is required by the Institute; however, some departments require higher scores. The minimum IELTS score required is determined by the department.
