The Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences provides undergraduate education for careers across diverse geoscience disciplines, encompassing geology, geophysics, geobiology, geochemistry, atmospheric studies, climate science, environmental systems, as well as planetary science and astronomy.
The Bachelor of Science program in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences establishes a strong foundational knowledge through core departmental courses, complemented by specialized study in a student-selected focus area. Working with their advisor, students tailor their curriculum by choosing suitable elective courses. Degree completion also mandates participation in field or laboratory work and the execution of an independent research project.
The first-year application is intended for students who have concluded their secondary education and wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree as a full-time university student.
